How athletics has affected your life in a positive way?
Athletics has taught me to persevere when times get tough, and that success does not build character, failure builds character. High school athletics has also given me the ability to work outside of my social group and build relationships with individuals I otherwise would have never met.
What is a positive about being an athlete?
It teaches you honesty, acceptance, sportsman spirit and teamwork. Being a student-athlete will make you feel like an allrounder, thus increasing your self-confidence. An athlete will also build physical strength and perseverance while practicing drills for the sports event.

Career. Having the opportunity to be a student athlete allows one to work with an elite group of people many other students do not have the chance of knowing. Beyond the court or field after college, these connections can come in handy for a future career.

Rules provide an agreement of understanding to competition. In sports, rules define what is allowed or not allowed to occur during situations on and off the court. Rules govern anything from wearing proper uniforms to how to keep score during games of different levels of competition.

As well as exercising many muscles, athletics builds mental strength given the new situations the mind has to cope with. An approach that is amusing and that promotes general well-being and motivation. Athletics is a sport that covers every possible area – that’s what we love about it.
