What is the purpose of taping an athlete?
Taping is usually used to help recover from overuse and other injuries. The general goals of athletic taping are to restrict the motion of an injured joint, in order to add stability for a temporary period of time.
Why is taping important?
Support: Taping can be used to give support to muscles that have been injured or overused, not only relieving some of the immediate pain, but also taking stress off that muscle and allowing for faster recovery.
Can you wear KT Tape to sleep?
I believe the best benefit is actually cumulative; the more (not just during sports activities) and longer (even at night during sleep) you wear the tape, the better the benefits of healing and support it offers.
Can you leave KT Tape on overnight?
Can you leave KT Tape on overnight? KT Tape will stay on for multiple days at a time. We recommend that you do not wear it for more than 5 days. Generally, the length of time it lasts depends on where the tape is applied.
